While working on the latest issue of Upset, news broke of a serious accident in Australia that left Frank Iero and his band forced to cancel their live dates for the rest of the year. Besides the obvious personal trauma, it may have come at the worst possible point for Frank, right before the release of his new record – but you can be sure it won’t hold him back. After all, ‘Parachutes’ is one hell of an album. One more than good enough to see him take this month’s cover, on the streets today (11th November). Just look at that photo. What a dreamboat.
He’s not the only former MCR member active this month, either. Elsewhere this issue we chat with Ray Toro, who’s finally dropping his debut. There’s features with Waterparks, Sleigh Bells, Balance & Composure and Sad13, as well as a celebration of 10 years of Brand New‘s ‘The Devil & God…’.
You can start to get excited about Creeper’s first full-length too, as we prepare to spend eternity with main man Will Gould. We catch up with The Front Bottoms as they continue to grow ahead of their forthcoming UK tour. There’s also room for Tigercub, Emarosa, Steven Battelle and loads more. Never a dull moment.
That’s not including introductions to the best new bands, including Petrol Girls, Nervus and itoldyouiwouldeatyou in About To Break, Young Guns taking on your questions in Vs The Internet, or all the latest news, reviews and other associated gubbins.
November’s Upset is on the streets today (11th November). You can order a copy here, or subscribe here and get it delivered straight to you door, anywhere in the world. You can also find it in record stores, bars and venues around the UK, or read it online here.
